ONLINE encyclopedia was launched by scientists to give information about all 1.8 million species on earth.
Earlier,Due to the tremendous traffic for the first 30000 pages of www.eol.org,the web servers initially crashed,there were almost 11 million hits in the first 6 hours.
It is a huge advantage for science and nature enthusiasts if the scientists complete this 10 project of updating the database of the entire information about the 1.8 million species.The EOL project is also supported by several universities,adobe,microsoft,and the wikimedia foundation etc...
scientists are trying to update entire information about each and every species,their pictures,origin,and other details about them....
