CRICKET-SRILANKA CRASHES TO AN EMBARASSING LOSS


AUSTRALIA vanquished srilanka at sydney for a 128 run win,and proved their dominance over srilanka.
micheal clarke slammed a fine knock of 77 to boost the australian total to 253.
It was nathan bracken who riddled through srilankan top order batsman claiming a 5 wicket haul for 47 runs.Kumar sangakkara was the top scorer for srilanka,his resplendant batting display took srilanka to a comfortable position,later bracken got a breakthrough in dismissing him to 42 tothrow the lankans to a position to 51 for 7 wickets.This is the main turning point of the match.
Jayasuriya and the skipper were dismissed for 7 and 6 by lee and johnson.
Jayawardene's tactics had been defensive from the start and there was no cordon in the third over when Hayden edged Chaminda Vaas to the vacant first-slip position.
